Wearing Face Masks:
We are aware that some patients might be understandably anxious about the Government’s recent announcements around the use of face masks in various public settings.
GPs are unfortunately not in a position to provide individual risk assessments or letters for patients who feel that they should be exempt from wearing a face mask, whether in regard to their use on public transport or in any other setting as required by legislation.
Government advice on the use of face coverings on public transport can be found here:
We hope that this guidance provides some reassurance for you on this issue.
Please note we can not give individual advice, For all up to date advice please visit https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19
ANYONE WITH A FEVER AND/OR PERSISTENT COUGH AND/OR LOSS OR CHANGE TO YOUR SENSE OF SMELL OR TASTE, PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE SURGERY
FOR ADVICE IN THE FIRST INSTANCE PLEASE VISIT:
If someone has serious symptoms they cannot manage at home they should use NHS 111 online (people should only call NHS111 if they cannot get online).
Hollyoaks Medical Centre is now implementing no online booking of appointment. All appointment requests will be triaged. You will be given a telephone or video consultation appointment where appropriate. In order to offer a safe service, the surgery can only offer a certain number of appointments each day.
